This is a very easy beginner friendly project you can finish in a day! You will only need 1 piece of fabric (I used an old twin flat sheet).

Cut your fabric or sheet to 54 x 84 inches.

Next you will hem the long sides with a doubled 1 inch hem. Fold each side over once at 1 inch and iron. Fold over again at 1 inch (using 2 inches total). Iron and pin it together. Sew your hem down.

Next on the top and bottom fold the fabric over 4 inches and iron and pin together.

You will be sewing across 2 times in the 4 inch area. Sew 2 inches from the edge across the top and bottom. The last step is to sew 1/2 inch away from the raw edge on both sides (or 1.5 inches from previous stitch).

I found magnetic French door curtain rods at Walmart that donโ€™t require any drilling into your door (renter friendly). You will need 2 curtain rods.

Put your curtain rods in the 1.5 inches section on the top and bottom and the 2 inch sections will create the ruffles when they are hung. Then youโ€™re finished!
